Selected Oven Model:
Mugnaini wood-fired ovens are available in two basic assembly options. Either method results in a proper working oven but you may find one is more conducive to your building site.
Assemble on site masonry kit
This option includes the oven components only. The surround will be built by you or your contractor.Factory Kit: Preassembled or Ready-to-Assemble
This option includes the complete oven with surround and a steel stand, assembled at our factory, or shipped in easy to assemble pieces. The finish work is left for your contractor.
You will be contacted by a Mugnaini representative after your oven purchase to provide a freight quote to ship this oven to your desired location and get your delivery date requirements.
Mugnaini Masonry Kits
Traditionally masons built wood-fired ovens using materials available locally. Stone and concrete has long been the material of choice due to its strength and longevity. Using masonry methods for building the structure that houses the oven allows one to create any shape imaginable. The only downside is the overall weight, size and cost of the project. We provide three templates incorporating our design parameters that ensure proper cooking dynamics. You can design the exterior of your oven any way you choose, provided the proper thermal mass and insulation space is included in your design.

Masonry Dome
The dome shaped enclosure is created by bending rebar and metal lathe around the oven and the chimney pipe to create the shape of your choice. Typically covered with stucco, a stone or tile veneer may also be added.

Masonry Gable
The gable shaped enclosure is the most popular outdoor oven in a stand alone situation. The structure is built using concrete block and then the roof of your choice is added. Create a traditional look or match your existing architecture.

Masonry Built-In
The built-in is basically a gable shaped enclosure with no roof. It is essential that another structure will take the place of the roof, so only a simple "lid" is necessary to finish the oven. This assembly method is commonly used indoors or with covered patios.

Mugnaini Forno Al Fresco Series
The Forno Al Fresco series was developed to offer affordable turnkey oven solutions with no compromise in quality or performance. These models save time, weight and space enabling oven installations on decks, in multi story homes and hard to get to spaces. The smaller footprint also allows you to use a larger oven in the same space. Contractor friendly, all you need to do is choose the shape that best compliments your kitchen!
-
Built-In Enclosure
The octagon enclosure creates our most compact footprint. It is ideal for indoor installations or any application where the oven will be fully enclosed and space is an issue.
-
Flat Roof Enclosure
Ready to use as is, this simple box shape can also be used as a base for more elaborate designs. The low profile makes it appropriate for many covered porch applications.
-
Gable Roof Enclosure
The gable is the classic shape for wood-fired ovens. A simple stucco coat can finish the oven. Add roof tiles and a chimney chase to match your home.
-
Hip Roof Enclosure
This elegant hip roof opens the door for many finish options. A mixture of cultured stone can be used to highlight the angles for a very sophisticated look.
-
Dome Top Enclosure
Our take on the popular dome, we create a minimalist contour following the shape of the oven. The crisp lines on the front create a solid structure for additional chimney pipe.

Do-It-Yourself Assembly
We supply everything but the enclosure. All pieces are light enough to hand carry into place and build on site. You are only limited by your imagination!

ITALIAN TRADITION—AMERICAN TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of our Forno Al Fresco series is our commercial oven technology. We build our ovens on a proprietary refractory castable base. This is the same material used in our commercial ovens for legendary heat retention, at only a fraction of the weight of concrete. Then we cover the oven with our tri-level insulation, steel frame and concrete board walls that are the perfect base for any finish material. The result is a balance thermal mass that offers fast start-up times and unparalleled cooking performance.
