Wine grapes are only part of Nature’s bounty here in Sonoma County. We relish in having an herb garden within steps of the cooking school and now visits to the school’s vegetable garden has become part of our curriculum.
Squash blossoms are always a summer favorite as are tomatoes picked at the peak of ripeness.
Tucked in the middle of the vineyard, the Mugnaini school garden boasts several varieties of tomatoes and eggplant, summer squash, melon, chard, sweet peppers, hot peppers and a variety of fruit trees.
Production easily supplies our classes with extras going to the Healdsburg Food Pantry.
We will be posting a whole series of garden photos on our FaceBook page.
